Today was our first day of testing, but of course nothing went perfectly. We left for the Rita chapel around 7:30AM and walked out there, only to discover that the church was not unlocked as the bishop had told me it would be (there are people working there and they were supposed to be there at 8AM). Luckily we had Jared with us, who reminds me a little of survivor man. Somehow, he slid the windowpanes out, got into the church, and let us all in. Just after we got in, the workers showed up. Luckily I knew one of them, so they didn’t think we’d broken in or anything, which I guess technically we did.
We got all set up, and eagerly awaited the arrival of our first test subjects. The testing went pretty well, but nothing every goes quiet how you plan it, especially when you are doing something for the first time. Although we did discover that was can test more people at a time, we also discovered that there were little glitches here and there with the software and our microphones and headsets. But we got it all done eventually.
For lunch, we walked back into town then we went our separate ways for a few hours. I skyped with my family then went to Payless with Wendy to buy some groceries. At 6PM, Wendy, Brad and I went to meet with my speaker, Lanny. All in all, it was a great day.
