Today was Sunday, which means I really didn’t do much but sleep, read, and go to church. So I’ve decided to devote today’s entry to the funny things that I saw the past week.
1. My neighborhood has a gang of 4 piglets that roams around the streets. I’ve seen then twice so far. I’m not sure who they belong to. But they are bold enough to cross the street and roam around the field outside my apartment being.
2. A woman driving down the street with a baby on her lap, and no there are no child carseat laws here. The baby was probably around 2, maybe a little younger. There are not many accidents, but it still worries me.
3. When I went jogging one morning at 6AM, there was a guys tearing up and down the same stretch of road. I’m not sure if he was drunk or what, but on one of his laps he almost ran down a pack of dogs. I actually thought he did at first and stopped and almost screamed.
4. KLG. I’m not sure what this stands for, but I’m pretty sure it’s a KFC rip off. They build is downtown next to the post office where all the old men used to sit and play checkers. Their logo is a giant chicken, which to me bears a slight resemblance to Colonel Sanders.
5. My Uncle Dave has a Marshallese twin here in the Jenrok Ward of my church, except that the man here is slightly skinnier, wears glasses, and of course is Marshallese. I started talking to him after sacrament meeting, and he told me all about his year long trip to America. He is the happiest man, and I hope I get to see him again so I can take a picture.
