It's been just over 3 weeks since I got home, and it's been quite a whirlwind of adventure. My first weekend back, I pretty much slept, got ready for classes, and went to my friend Wendy's wedding. I only had a few days between my return and school starting, so I had to jump right in and work hard. But school is going well so far. Enough about work. On to the fun stuff.
I had a great Labor Day weekend. Friday night, I had some friend over to watch a movie and play games. Saturday was the BYU season opener at the stadium, where BYU won! And on Sunday and Monday I headed up to Cottonwood Canyon to hang out with friends and go for a few hikes.
Monday was also my dad's birthday, which I haven't forgotten since... well this is the first time that I have ever forgotten his birthday. I was so shocked when my sister reminded me, and I begged her not to tell my dad since I was so embarrassed about it. So the first things she did when she called him was to tell him that I had forgotten his birthday. Thanks Jenn.

Last weekend, I headed to Vegas for a friend's birthday. It's really been a long time since I've stayed out 'til 2AM, and I don't think I could keep it up longer than the 2 nights I was down there. We had a really nice time. We drove down on Friday afternoon and went down to the strip, ate gelato and watched the Bellagio water show. On Saturday, we stuffed ourselves silly at a buffet for breakfast/lunch, went to Lake Mead and Hoover damn, made a run to Trader Joe's and then headed back to the strip. IWe had dinner at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, and although none of us drank any margaritas, there was a live band and dancing and it was great.
So that's what I've been doing. It's good to be home, but I miss Majuro terribly. This weekend, I went to a singles conference on Friday and stayed out way too late last night. Somehow, a singles conference just doesn't compare to kayaking or snorkeling. However, I'm going to France on Wednesday for a conference, so I might have to stay in tonight and catch up on my sleep so I'm ready to go. But how could I pass up the chance to go hang out with friends. Who'd have know I'd turn into such a partier?
